In the same video, Clearlink CEO James Clarke:
- Lambasted the company's "quiet quitters" who hadn't opened their laptops in the past month while working from home.
- Celebrated his own "Judeo-Christian work ethic."
- Expressed doubt that single and working moms could meet his expectations while also taking care of their children.
- Told working parents that having a full-time job "neither fair to your employer nor fair to those children."
Clarke made all of these comments in the context of announcing the company's sudden reversal of work from home policy that the company had rolled out during the pandemic and had reaffirmed only few months ago.
If you celebrate an employee selling his family dog as an example of the "sacrifices that are being made" to work for your company, you might be the worst employer of 2023.
