- State-sponsored vaccine lotteries.
- Relaxed or eliminated mitigation rules for the fully vaccinated.
- Paid time off for vaccines and side effects.
- Gift cards and other monetary incentives.
Governments and employers seemingly have tried everything to get as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible.
Yet, we are failing.
Nationally, only 65.5% of the adult population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The numbers are downright grim for the under-18 age group, with only 9.2% at least partially vaccinated. Meanwhile, we are playing beat the clock against the virus and its more dangerous and virulent variants. As bad as the Delta variant is, do we really want to get to know an even worse Epsilon variant?
So, at the suggestion of my friend Pat Perry, I've decided to crowdsource some creative ideas to convince more people to get vaccinated. Do you have a thought on how we can move the vaccine-hesitant into the vaccinated column? What is your company doing to incentivize employees to get their shots? Or, do you believe that we've hit a vaccine ceiling and there's nothing we can do to convince enough people to get vaccinated? Drop a comment below or on LinkedIn and I'll share in a future post.
